We started Bird Spikes South Africa for a simple reason. Most bird problems do not need a pest control callout. They need the right product on the right ledge. Spikes, gels and deterrents are simple, humane and proven, and most people can fit them in an afternoon. We wanted buying them to be just as simple.
Why humane deterrents
Birds are not the enemy, they are just nesting where it costs you money. Droppings stain paint, corrode gutters and cut solar output, and a settled colony only grows. Every product we stock works by taking away the landing spot, not by harming the bird. The pigeons move on, the mess stops, and nobody gets hurt. That is the whole idea.
What we sell
We carry stainless steel and UV-stabilised polycarbonate bird spikes, repellent gels, sonic and visual deterrents, and mesh kits for solar panels, all held in our own warehouse. Each product page tells you clearly which birds and surfaces it suits, how much you need per metre, and how to fit it, so you always know what you are buying.
Checked before it ships
Every order is picked and checked before it leaves the warehouse, so what arrives is what you ordered. We list the strip length, the coverage and the fixing method on each product page, and we are happy to answer questions before you buy.
How we ship
Orders go out with a tracked South African courier, and delivery is free on orders of R900 or more, with a flat R190 charge under R900. Most parcels arrive within 7 working days of dispatch, and you get a tracking link by email as soon as yours is on its way.

Who is behind Bird Spikes South Africa
Bird Spikes South Africa is part of a family-owned group of online stores. Our CEO, Renoo Caruso, is a Christian preacher based in Phetchaburi, Thailand. Renoo leads a local church with a congregation of more than 200 people and shares daily Bible teaching in Thai through renoo.faith and a YouTube channel with over 1,600 videos.
That faith shapes how we trade. Clear prices, honest product details, and a real person answering your email. We would rather lose a sale than mislead a customer.

Do you deliver across South Africa?
Yes. We ship to every South African address with a tracked courier. Delivery is free on orders of R900 or more, with a flat R190 charge under R900. You will get a tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves us.
How long does delivery take?
Most South African orders arrive within 7 working days of dispatch. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer. You will see live tracking once your parcel is on its way.
What payment methods can I use?
You can pay by card through Stripe or with your PayPal account. Both are processed securely and we never see or store your card details.
Are your bird deterrents humane?
Yes. Everything we sell works by making a ledge or roost unattractive to land on, never by harming the bird. Spikes have blunt tips, gels are a deterrent underfoot, and sonic devices simply make an area feel unsafe. The bird just moves on.
Which product is right for my bird problem?
It depends on the bird and the spot. Spikes suit pigeons and gulls on ledges and beams. Gels suit surfaces where spikes are impractical. Mesh protects the gap under solar panels. Send us a photo of the problem area and we will point you to the right product and quantity.
Are the products hard to install?
No. Most of our range is DIY-friendly and goes up with outdoor adhesive, screws or cable ties. Every product page has simple fitting steps and a guide to how much you need per metre.
Can I return a product if it is not right for me?
If a product is not right for you, contact us and we will help with a return or exchange. Please keep it unused, in clean, resaleable condition with its packaging. See our Refunds and Returns page for the full details.
What if my order arrives faulty?
Your purchase is covered by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. If a product arrives faulty or damaged, get in touch and we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund.
